6/26/12 Toronto Blue Jays vs Boston Red Sox @ Fenway Park
Boston is a great city and I highly reccomend going there. The entire place is historic from its grave sites to its ballpark. Here is a view from our hotel room:
That’s how close we were to the stadium. Here are some pictures from around the stadium:
Here is a photo of me watching some Blue Jays pitchers running on the warning track from the Bleacher Bar. Anyone can walk into the Bleacher Bar any time before the game and it is definitely worth it. It is in center field and you don’t even have to get food.
Finally in the stadium! I am a part of Red Sox Nation for just this season so I can get into the stadium 30 minutes early.
I signed it “Danny from nybisons”.
The starting pitcher for the Red Sox was Daisuke Matsuzaka and former Buffalo Bison Aaron Laffey took the hill for the Blue Jays.
Final Score- Red Sox 5, Blue Jays 1
W- Andrew Miller (2-0)
L- Luis Perez (2-2)
I did end up getting 5 balls at this game. 4 were commemerative and I did end up giving one ball away. I also got a lineup card from the previous day which was pretty beat up when I got it because of the rain I will blog about that later though.

Cool. I always wanted to go to Fenway.
Danny-I’m happy for you that you were able to make over to Fenway! This ballpark had a very positive effect on me, and I really want to go back and take the kids so they can experience it, too. These are great pics, and I’m glad you had such a good time there! What’s nice, is that there are so many Minor League teams close by. Is this when you went to the PawSox, too?
–Mike
Harrison- You definitely should go!
Mark- Fenway really was great. I still have another Boston game, Cooperstown, and the PawSox game to blog about. That is when I went to Pawtucket and I loved the stadium, although I only went because of one person who I also have to blog about.

Danny,
I’m driving to Boston for a 10 game trip in a few days. Did you notice many balls going over the Green Monster during BP? I’m not sure whether I should wait behind the monster or take my chances inside.
-Rick
I would take my chances inside. I waited outside before the gates opened but nothing came over for me. There were about 5 or 6 that left the stadium but it’s probably easier inside. The ones that left were bombs hit by Jose Bautista or Edwin Encarnacion.
